Yesterday, we reported that public accounting firm for Chevron lost a laptop containing confidential employee data. Today, Unisys is posting a $50,000 reward for the recovery of a stolen desktop PC housing data on 38,000 veterans who were treated at medical facilities in Pennsylvania. The machine went missing from the subcontractor's office; Unisys was hired by the veteran's agency to handle insurance information collection. The company is working with the FBI and VA's office of the Inspector General in their quest to get the PC and data back in safe hands.
