Trojan finds backdoor in Word

There's a bug in Microsoft Word 2000 and security vendors say it's getting some attention from hackers. Symantec describes the vulnerability as "reliable" and that the exploit is "mostly transparent" to end users. While experts don't know exactly what the payload is at this point, they're assuming it's focused on information-gathering: grabbing key strokes and mouse actions to gain access to confidential files. The exploit arrives via an email and is triggered when users click on an attachment that prompts a hidden Trojan to open a backdoor to the victim's computer.
