Top CIOs make more than ever
Good news on the salary front for top tier CIOs, as a new Baseline survey shows that 27 percent of superstar IT leaders snagged a bit more money this year than last. A look at the top tech earners shows some impressive figures and compensation packages. Baseline has studied the SEC proxies of the 1,000 largest U.S. firms to build its list of elite CIOs from the past five years. Collectively, the top 10 on the list earned $50 million last year. As one top tech leader claims, the pay is tied to enabling business change, which feeds directly into the company's revenue success.
