Another "ransomeware" appeared this week, courtesy of a Trojan horse that attempts to extort money from victims whose Windows "My Document" files are seized via a PC infection. According to security vendor Sophos, it marks the third incident in which hackers are using viruses to hold user files for ransom. In this case the hackers want victims to buy from online pharmacies in exchange for releasing the kidnapped files. Experts warn that users shouldn't give into the demands as that will just increase the number of ransomeware events down the road.
