Things to be thankful for

News on IT security is almost always negative--the newest worm, the latest laptop loss, the top malware lists. Every day seems to bring something new for IT leaders and security experts to worry about. But as one security expert relates in his column, there are a few things we can all be thankful for as the Thanksgiving holiday arrives. For one thing, there have been some substantial improvements in security technologies, including encryption. There have been advancements in perimeter security, as well.
