The race is on for H-1B visas

The U.S. government opens the floodgates, sort of, on April 1 when it begins accepting this year's applications for H-1B visas. The issue is an important one for the tech industry, which is looking to workers from other countries to help fill up their employee ranks where there are critical shortages of qualified IT workers.
