The need to retain valuable tech knowledge

Thanks to an aging workforce and huge numbers in employee retirements, the public tech segment is undergoing a radical change. There is a great chance that valuable knowledge information will walk out the door when top government tech leaders and professionals do. The focus today, say experts, is for federal, state and local IT organizations to start working to make sure that knowledge and insight is retained in some form with the goal of preserving what is available before it's gone. Such knowledge retainment has many other benefits as well, such as fostering collaboration and empowering current tech teams as they move forward.
