The IT lessons continue from natural disaster scene
To say there are lots of lessons to be learned from surviving natural disasters is an understatement when looking back at the hurricane that hit New Orleans in 2005. Tech leaders across the state began readying for the event long before it hit, and they've been working ever since in post-recovery efforts to shore up response systems, networks and improve recovery plans for whatever might hit next. The biggest surprise for many was how IT systems played a critical role in helping people after the disaster.
