Every day seems to bring news of a new threat--viruses, worms and most recently bots were cited as one of the security blind spots for organizations today. But another blind spot has emerged, and this time it's inside the IT enterprise and related to software making and code creation. As experts note, not only is there little oversight or review, but there are also few investigative tools available to make sure that code is clean and free of any malicious mechanisms. But, there are some good practices to make sure that internal homemade code and applications come out of the development process risk-free.
