The hidden dangers in embedded databases

Databases could be harboring some potential security issues and vulnerabilities, according to one security expert. IT staffs tend to sometimes forget to batten down the hatches or re-check that security is tightly in place. As some companies have found, a good database audit can highlight potential problems and help get fixes in place; but as one analyst warns, it's the embedded database that holds the most risk. They don't have the conventional security measures that traditional databases have.
