The future of IT: Here today?

When asked what the future holds, several top business leaders discussed some forward-thinking IT trends that could change the way that technology is used in business. The CEO of Mozilla, for example, predicts that as the Web integrates audio and visual elements, the Internet will become fully multimedia-enabled, expanding its possibilities. Globalization will finally penetrate down to the small and medium-sized (SMB) market, with technology virtualizing their location and camouflaging their size, predicts the CEO of UPS. And the president of News Corp. says that 2007 will be the year when mobile technology truly takes off.
