The cons of virtualization can't be dismissed
There are more than a few enticing aspects of virtualization technology--easier management, increased flexibility and cost savings when it comes to hardware use. But as some experts note, it isn't a panacea that will solve every enterprise infrastructure issue and tech leaders need to be aware of a few important issues before deploying the technology. The big benefit lies in how virtualization is used to boost business strength and application performance--it isn't all about consolidation.
