Techies happier, more career confident
If your tech team seems content and happy these days, it means they're part of a growing number of confident tech workers, according to a new study from staffing firm Hudson. In fact, those working in IT are the happiest employees in the business realm. Job optimism among techies jumped 4.3 points to 112.5 in July, beating last July's confidence rating of 109.9. Yet it's not happy days for everyone at work--overall workers nationwide have lost a bit of confidence in their career, says Hudson's report. The job satisfaction factor is likely why there are less IT folks looking for a new job. That bodes well for IT leaders who are finding hiring talent a bit tough this year.
