Tech titans find new fields for data storage centers
Tech titans Microsoft and Yahoo have their corporate expansion eyes on potato fields in Washington as the location for future data storage center sites. The additional storage facilities are needed as the two vendors plan to boost email, video and other customer services to gain more customer base and market share. As one analyst describes the value of the new effort, data storage centers now "hold the family jewels" when it comes to online business.
