As Wall Street shakes, realigns, corrects and looks for a comfortable place to rest, technology stocks are behaving just like the rest of the market and sometimes even worse. While the Feds lowered interest rates to stimulate the economy and ease market fears, tech stocks have been performing worse than other sectors, according to InformationWeek. It could not have come at a worse time. IPO-bound Internet startups must have real business plans and customer financing programs have to be tightened. It's a bad time, too, because technology has become embedded in many facets of American life--not just in the business sector but also in private life. So what can you do about this malaise? Ride it out. Don't unload your stocks. Look at past stock downturns, like after the 9-11 attacks or in the early 1990s to take a page from the past. Things will be coming around, don't you think? Let us know where you think the market is going and how tech stocks can rebound from this cycle.
