The economic stimulus package currently under consideration by President Bush and Congress is likely to have benefits for many industries, including technology. While the details of the economic stimulus plan won't be finalized for several weeks, the early discussions signal that it will have tax cuts for the middle class and tax breaks for business. When lawmakers roll up their sleeves to work, the intention is to ease the pain that middle class taxpayers have been feeling and that many companies have been experiencing. And it will put real dollars in the pockets of consumers to spend money on durable items such as computers and other technology tools. It also is likely to rev up American businesses, too.

The devil is still in the details. Economic advisers would be wise to look at the complete picture of what works and what other band-aids are needed to help every sector of the economy. We look forward to seeing what emerges from this charged atmosphere that is prompting everyone to move quickly to fix a leaking dike. -Judi

If your software is Windows based, Our COUNTRY is screwed. I have had nothing but nightmares from Windows based security. Windows OneCare messed my computer up to where I have a $50 computer desk protector, not a computer security program. They make it so complicated, that only compuer techs can understand it. Then when they get through, your desk top becomes a great doorstop or ancor

I think this is just a stratagy to force everyone to upgrade to the ever changing computer market. My computer has been rendered pretty much useless thanks to Windows OneCare. I installed it, & it never worked. I assumed I was protected by the best security program since it was a MS Windows program & my OS is WindowsXPSP2. I performed a backup as prompted & OneCare disappeared. I have a $50 desk protector instead of a computer security program.

If your super programming is Windows based, forget it. MS can't even design a Windows based security program that works. I purchased WIN1Care & it has ruined my system. They have no support that works. I basically purchased a computer desk protector(Installation disc) instead of a computer security program.
