Symantec shakes up for efficiency
Acquisitions bring change, and change is taking place over at Symantec, from corporate leadership to the customer relationship level. Since gobbling up storage vendor Veritas Software, the security vendor's VP and president left and the company has undertaken a corporate restructuring to simplify operations. It put a new chief technology officer on board and cut the number of business units in half to streamline and create operations efficiency. Analysts are applauding the changes, saying all the revamping will bring "clarity" to the company.
