Symantec fighting suspect Vista security features
Symantec is still fighting Microsoft's attempts to block third-party security software in the upcoming Vista system. Its latest report says that the improved Windows Security Center as well as PatchGuard will actually make securing systems tougher than it has to be. The two functions block kernel access for third-party security software--such as Symantec's applications. For its part, Microsoft says it's just trying to provide good security for its users.
