Sun warmed and primed to go open source
Sun Microsystems has open-source fever, and the fever isn't likely to subside anytime soon given the company's plan to eventually open-source all its software, including the Java component. In an interview about the technology strategy his company is taking these days, Sun's executive VP of software, Rich Green, says it's all about Sun shrugging off its "religious biases" and is taking a more balanced approach between hardware and software development and focus.
