Studies flame on the outsourcing debate
Outsourcing is a hot button issue and two new studies from Duke University promise to keep the debate raging. While engineering and IT organizations say that outsourcing hurts the U.S. worker, businesses believe that it's an economic and competitive necessity. One of Duke's recent studies reports that outsourcing is the result of a U.S. IT talent shortage and is thus, a strategic decision. The other study says that outsourcing is really just about cost, not talent and is hurting the U.S. employee base. Which report is true? You decide.
