Steve Jobs had liver transplant
Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is recovering from a liver transplant, according to the Wall Street Journal. The newspaper disclosed Jobs' health situation in an article that has been picked up by many media organizations. However, Apple would not comment on the article or Jobs' health situation.
"Steve continues to look forward to returning to Apple at the end of June," Apple spokesman Steve Dowling said, "and there is nothing further to say."
Jobs--who announced in January that he was taking a medical leave of absence until the end of June--survived pancreatic cancer five years ago. He did not disclose why he was taking a medical leave. His gaunt appearance has been the subject of much speculation for months.
