Paul Thurrott discovered evidence that Microsoft might not have given up on running Windows on ARM. In documentation for the Audio Engine Core Test on MSDN, Thurrott noticed that Microsoft lists Windows 10 for desktop ARM, suggesting that the company continues to fiddle with that chip structure. Microsoft's initial attempt at running Windows on ARM, Windows RT, failed to ignite the market. However, Thurrott said he thinks the chip type could resurface to run a version of Windows Server.
