SPOTLIGHT: Latest malware pretty hard to detect
If you started a list of security alerts and new threats, it's likely reaching the size of the phone book by now and still getting longer. A rootkit.hearse is the latest malware to hit the security front, and it's pretty dangerous given it uses cloaking to hide and avoid detection. A security vendor notes that just five of two dozen security tools have been able to uncover the malware, which sends confidential data such as Social Security numbers and account login information to a Russian server.
