SPOTLIGHT: Green IT comes to Capitol Hill

Green IT seems to be everywhere these days, from the data center to the desktop. And now, it looks like Green IT is extending its reach as far as Washington. The so-called Technology CEO Council, an IT lobbying group, is here in D.C. this week, asking the federal government to lead by example by implementing Green IT policies. "We have enormous opportunities to reduce energy use while increasing productivity," said Dell Chairman and CEO Michael Dell. "We need officials here in Washington to support policies that spur the development of those technologies." Article
