While Microsoft still leads the pack when it comes to email and messaging with its Exchange Server product line, the administration aspect and work involved hasn't gotten much easier over the years. In fact, it's likely gotten tougher as Microsoft just keeps pushing new capabilities, features and functions into the product. That's why a slew of third-party vendors are all seeing a great potential market base and are pushing out management tools and solutions to make Exchange server work a bit easier for today's tech teams.
