Employees everywhere continue to be inundated by spam. Even CIOs are beginning to feel the pinch. Spam is costing companies $712 per employee annually--and a total of $71 billion a year for all U.S. businesses--according to a survey released earlier this week by Nucleus Research and KnowledgeStorm. The companies surveyed 849 email users and concluded that two out of every three email messages received by business people are spam. This happens despite the fact that 60 percent of all companies take steps to filter spam.
