Still, there are some ways to get in the door. This week, we report that some IT shops are hiring contract workers to handle their IT workload on a temporary basis. The IT contractor can be an early asset to an essential project. But it will also give a manager a chance to take a look at the IT person before offering a job. It also gives the contractor a chance to test the waters at a new company.
