Signs you are about to get the axe

Perhaps it should be obvious if you are in trouble at work and are about to get laid off.  But some folks are always surprised, and somehow in the dark. Ladders.com has five red flags, or warning signs that the axe may be about to fall. They are:

• You're being left out of important meetings.
• Your span of control is shrinking.
• Your projects are getting canceled.
• You have a new boss.
• Red ink is dripping from your company's financial statements.

If any of this is happening to you, wake up, start networking and get your resume ready.
