Signs of weakening IT job market
Just where do you look when you want to find out about the strength of the IT job market? It's supposed to be a solid market, toughened after the dot-com bust a few years ago, but it also depends on whom you ask. A CIO Insight analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data found that the tech sector lost 200 jobs from January to February of this year. That certainly is a small number, but it's the first drop in 32 months for the IT sector. This could be a turning point.
