SanDisk unveils 32-GB capacity CompactFlash card
SanDisk introduced a 32-GB CompactFlash card earlier this week, or double the size of the company's previous largest memory card product. Targeted at professional digital photographers and videographers, the Extreme III CompactFlash can read and write at speeds in excess of 30 MBps. Though it is not the fastest among SanDisk's lineup, its performance is more than adequate for use with high-definition camcorders. The card is able to function at temperatures of minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The Extreme III is expected to hit U.S. retail stores before the end of October, and will have a list price of $300.
