Proactive responses to data breaches
Good data security requires a lot of attention and investment. And it's just an issue of throwing money at the problem--a well thought-out strategy and some well-chosen tools can go a long way toward alleviating issues. Also, make sure that your data security policies are ironclad and use a full complement of encryption software, firewalls, anti-spyware and software updates. Finally, make sure you have an adequate amount of staff on hand to monitor your security--and be sure that their skills are top-notch.
