Phishing scam uses IRS refund lure
While the big tax day is still nearly two months away, it seems online criminals are using the annual event as their lure in current phishing scams. The emails claim to be coming from the Internal Revenue Service and ask for pertinent personal information to complete 'refund' paperwork. But of course it's just another clever way to try and get confidential data from those online.
