Outsourcing is not a dirty word
Outsourcing has become a dirty word in the technology arena and many other places. But now that IT shops are under enormous pressure to tighten their belts, there are plenty of tasks that could be outsourced without breaking the bank. What's more, these tasks will likely will be cheaper than if they were done in-house.
Four critical IT tasks are ready for outsourcing according to an article from InfoWorld: Project management, e-discovery, regulatory compliance and environmental activities. Experts say IT outsourcing can work in the wake of the painful lessons companies have been learning in the last couple of years. And the best thing to do these days is give it a try, with the knowledge of what failed in the past and what could work now.
