If you're a small to mid size operations center that's anxious for vendors to move toward more Linux technologies, you'll be happy to hear that Oracle is making what some analysts consider a huge move in the direction of open source. According to some reports, the database vendor will be releasing a "tighter" Linux appliance by month's end. It's very likely part of Oracle's vision to provide a "complete" operating system stack.
