Only users can reduce Vista malware risk

Though recent reports about Vista focused on its complexity and unnecessary layers of functionality, the issue of security won't be dying down anytime soon, thanks to a security vendor's recent report. Sophos claims that the new operating system is vulnerable to 40 percent of malware on the internet--and Microsoft isn't denying the statement. But the vendor isn't taking any blame either, noting that it can't do much about social networking threats, which account for nearly 40 percent of all malware today.
