A new report says the U.S. is in no shape to recover from or respond to an Internet attack or crisis--described as a "cyber-Katrina." There is no plan that would restore Internet functionality to keep major operations, such as financial services firms, up and running. The Business Roundtable report notes that the government has not yet put a early attack warning system in place and there aren't sufficient resources for responding to 'Net disruptions. While offering a slew of advice and guidance, the report also recommends developing a federally funded expert panel to put recovery plans in place.
