New tools for better laptop security
The continued incidents of laptop theft and loss, which is putting confidential data at risk and potentially into criminal hands, are prompting many enterprises to shore up laptop device security. From the basics of locking mechanisms to stronger and more complex authorization access applications, the goal is to build a layer of deterrence, say experts. There are even sophisticated tools such as automatic erasing of stored data if a stolen laptop is plugged into the Internet.
