A new analytics system at the New Meadowlands Stadium will help executives and retailers keep track of customer activity in real time. Dubbed the "Command Center," the system from Roundarch comes with a dashboard on which managers can stay on top of ticket sales, concession sales and the parking situation, reports Austin Carr at FastCompany.

The dashboard breaks data down to very granular levels. It can target specific concession stands or stores and indicate which merchandise and which food and beverages are selling well at any given moment. "You might realize, hey, this part of the stadium has more sun in the fans' eyes, and is selling more hats," Geoff Cubitt, chief technology officer of Roundarch, said. "We're running out of inventory there, but the other side has plenty. In real-time, you can be smarter about how to allocate."

Down the road, the system, which was paid for by the Jets, may offer useful information for the fans as well. The dashboard will be able to tell them which concession stands have the longest lines and which gates are the most crowded. At some point, the data may even be available on iPads and other mobile devices.
