Motorola's CIO maps out her merger to-do list
With the impending acquisition and merger of Symbol Technologies into the fold of Motorola, CIO Patricia Morrison clearly has plenty of work ahead of her. No stranger to such huge business efforts, she's aware of how important it is to make sure that the new organization's IT department is assimilated into its parent company and is able to foster and support sales synergy. The role of IT, she adds, is all about making sure that the melding of the two companies fosters business growth that neither could have attained individually.
