More money spurs techies to job hunt

If your IT organization is already dealing with the labor crunch taking place (thanks to the retiring baby boomer trend), it's only going to get worse, according to a new study from the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA). The study claims that three out of five IT professionals are unhappy with their jobs and are looking to move on. The main factor is money--most are actively searching for higher paying roles. While the trend might be a boost for some companies that look to hire on experienced professionals, small to mid-sized firms will likely have a tough time doling out enough money to get critical staff in place.
