Microsoft's serious moves into CRM
Guess who's coming on hard and fast in the customer relationship management (CRM) segment. If you guessed Microsoft, give yourself a pat on the back. Redmond has been slowly buying up and building out its CRM offerings, and there's little doubt it believes it can overtake longtime industry leaders like Oracle. Claiming to have more than 200 million product users, Microsoft believes it's already got a strong user base and brand to be a tough challenger in the CRM space. Brad Wilson, general manager of Microsoft Business Solutions CRM, says it's a marketplace ripe for picking.
