Microsoft's post-Gates plans
In the wake of Bill Gates' announcement of his plans to step away from day-to-day Microsoft operations, analysts and pundits have been busy analyzing what his departure will mean for the company as well as the impact on future customer programs and new products in progress. As one points out, the company's new tech visionary, Ray Ozzie, has quite a different to-do list and agenda than the Microsoft founder. Yet, as another expert notes, while Gates may not be in the office everyday, he's still going to be an influential force.
