Microsoft readies new mobile OS

Get ready for a new mobile operating system option, this one from Microsoft. "Crossbow" will feature instant messaging capability. Moving into direct competition with industry leaders such as Symbian, the vendor says the instant messaging functionality is part of a new version of Office Communicator, an Office 2007 communications application. No release date has been set as yet, according to the vendor.
