Microsoft embracing Linux virtualization

The news that Microsoft is going full bore to support Linux virtual machines is a clear sign that the lines between operating systems are blurring quickly, according to observers. As some experts note, while the new support strategy could simply be a declaration that it wants to make clients and customers happy, it's also a clear signal that Microsoft is seriously worried about losing market share to virtualization brand names such as VMware.
