Microsoft declares war on competition

Addressing an audience of partners this week, Microsoft's COO Kevin Turner declared war within the enterprise space, saying his company isn't going to let Google or any Linux company, such as Red Hat, beat the vendor to the punch. Claiming that total cost of ownership and better products are the key reasons Microsoft will win marketshare, Turner says Microsoft is working to shore up partner commitment and make licensing easier and simpler.
