New York City officials are employing mapping technology as a way to get a closer look at domestic violence and target resources and services to where they are needed. By deploying MapInfo software, the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence will now be able to learn geographic locations and native languages of victims to push relevant services in the needed segments. The technology will help police communicate better with victims, says the agency.
