Look before you leap to Oracle Linux
There's been a lot of excitement this past week, regarding Oracle's plan to splinter off its Linux system from Red Hat. If you do decide to go with Oracle's Unbreakable Linux distribution, make sure to get written guarantees from any independent software vendors that you work with, to confirm that they'll keep their solutions synchronized with Oracle's distribution. Oracle recently announced it will charge about 50 percent less than Red Hat for Linux support.
