Legal firm sues IBM over server attacks

A law firm is suing IBM and alleging that the vendors' servers, and possibly an internal IBM employee, hit the firm's servers with over 40,000 attack attempts during last year. While IBM is not commenting on the suit, the legal firm says it wants all data about the attacks and damage costs for having to deal with the security breach. Security experts, though, believe the law firm will have a hard time proving IBM's machines were behind the network assault as IP addresses can be so easily spoofed these days.
