Legal battle won't delay Vista launch
Though security vendor Symantec appears pretty serious in its legal fight against Microsoft over patent technology related to the upcoming Vista operating system, Microsoft, for its part, says the legal battle won't stop it from meeting the current release date of early 2007. CEO Steve Ballmer told a wire service that he doesn't expect the lawsuit to impact the system or its predicted roll out. He did indicate that the delays in launch were due to trying to integrate too much innovation into Vista.
