A recent study from London, Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business finds that IT professionals are under more stress than their non-IT counterparts because of the rapid pace of change in the technology industry. One of the most tangible things that managers can do to help staff manage the stress of constantly changing and evolving demands is to keep the team up to date on the latest skills, practices and technologies, say the authors of the study. Taking this step provides workers with the tools they need to feel more in control of a dynamic environment.
